Single Drop Curtain-Minder with an Alarm Output

Features

The unit monitors the power ventilation system via a 240VAC-24VAC transformer. We recommend using 240 VAC so if you loose one leg of electricity the curtains will drop. This can also help prevent fan motors from burning up. If you prefer to monitor 120 volts a different transformer is available. The 24 volts can be interrupted by a high temperature thermostat such as the TherMinder. When using the thermostat, the unit will release on either power outage or high temperature.
A "V" type suspension breaks the pendulum action when the unit swings away from the winch handle. If the pendulum action is not stopped, the unit may swing back into the winch handle thereby inhibiting the lowering of the curtains, etc.
The unit has a built in time delay of between 45 seconds to over a minute depending on the weight. This delay causes the unit to ignore momentary power failures.

A reed switch has been added to the CM 1188 to tie into the normally closed circuit on your alarm to notify you when the curtains drop.
The unit can be set in two modes, the "release" mode and the "hold" mode.
The unit swings out of the way when it operates and doesn't interfere with movement of the winch handle. By swinging it into place it is always handy and ready to use.
