A 2000 WATT DIMMER FOR FLUORESCENT AND INCANDESCENT LIGHTING CONTROL

This 2K GOLD Dimmer is the most creative and flexible dimmer Pro-Tech has made in 34 years. It has a 16-amp output. There is a knob if you choose a manual dimmer. There is a zero to ten-volt DC input if you choose to operate the dimmer by a controller. The knob is deactivated when the zero to ten-volt DC input is used. A toggle switch can override the controller or the knob, whichever you are using. The lights are FULL ON when the switch is in the up position. The lights are FULL OFF when the switch is in the down position. The dimmer operates from the knob or the controller depending on what you choose to use when the switch is in the center position.

Dimming is quiet and it works well with fluorescent bulbs because the 2K Gold uses an “IGBT’ instead of a TRIAC. The ‘IGBT’ is noted for high efficiency and fast switching which performs well on more different types of lights.

The RIMMIR is specially designed to handle the Retrolite 15 and 23 watt lamps, dim CFL’s, and the Overdrive 8 & 15 Cold Cathodes.

There are four reasons for this unique design to make raising poultry more profitable.

1.      The toggle switch will turn the lights on bright to allow the birds and equipment to be serviced without having to remember the knob settings. This is very important if you use a controller.

2.      The 2K GOLD Dimmer works on 120 Volts, 50 to 65 Hz. Generators love this dimmer since it uses an IGBT, instead of a TRIAC, and Reverse Phase Technology is much easier on the generator.

3.      A sunrise-sunset feature is designed in the 2K GOLD. Sunrise and sunset allows a soft start and a soft off, adjustable from nearly zero to 20 minutes. A time clock with dry contacts is used rather than a load bearing time clock on the input. A whole house controller works well.

4.      The 2K GOLD RIMMIR is microprocessor controlled which provides all this flexibility. It has superior lightning protection, which has proven to work. The ‘IGBT’ is the most frequently replaced part, although rare, and it is field replaceable. The RIMMER includes a spare IGBT.
